Mr. Shatner's hardcover book on his friend Leonard Nimoy with Mr. Shatner's personal bookplate in the book. Mr. Shatner has allowed us to sell a limited number of Leonard Books from his archive with the bookplate. Exclusive to this store only. You won't be finding books with this bookplate anywhere else.
Bookplates:The history of bookplates comes from a time when books were rare and valuable. The plate was used as a curse upon the borrower of the book to return it to its owner or suffer under the curse.
About Mr. Shatner's bookplate:
Mr. Shatner's bookplate is inspired by a medieval etching of an explorer. The tree in the center of the grove represents the tree of life. The explorer seeks the knowledge of the universe and if you look closely at the bookplate you can see the explorer breaking through the facade of the world to find the key to unlock the universe of knowlege that powers life. Along the borders of the plate are keyholes that can be unlocked with the knowledge gained from the search. Note: the bookplate is not an engraved bookplate.

I purchased “Leonard” when it first came out and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was funny and poignant. I bought this copy with Mr Shatner’s bookplate for my daughter for Christmas. We both love Star Trek and have admired Mr Nimoy and Mr Shatner for a long time. Recommended - you won’t be sorry.

Great book! I love that it has William Shatner’s ex Libris bookplate on the inside cover. The only thing that would have made it priceless to me would have been to have his autograph inside. ❤️
